Pearl Mimic Pro Drum Percussion Sound Module, Powered by Slate
This is my favorite piece of drum hardware I’ve ever owned. It basically has the Steven Slate Drums VST inside the module, and SSD has, in my opinion, the best sounding drum samples of any VST. Plus an easy-to-use, polished interface.
This is a great budget mixer with a ton of features that can make your band sound great on stage. I also use it for recording in the studio, and it effortlessly acts as a USB audio interface to my DAW. Plus, the mobile and PC apps are very easy to use.
I use this primarily for recording vocals or for small portable recording projects. The Scarlett pre-amps are top notch and it’s basically plug-and-play with my DAW. I also like the fact that the line-outs and headphone out are separate, meaning that if you plug in headphones, you don’t deactivate the line-outs.
Sennheiser Consumer Audio HD 650 – Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone
Best-sounding headphones I’ve ever owned, hands down. I use these for professional mixing and mastering, and they are fairly affordable.
